1. Who this notice covers

The accommodation operator is responsible for guest information used to manage your enquiry or stay. NightsBridge provides the booking technology and has its own privacy policy.

2. Information and its purpose

• Website visits: the hosting service processes technical information such as your IP address, requested page, browser details and request times to deliver the site and support security and troubleshooting.
• Enquiries: if you call or email, your contact details and the information you choose to share are used to answer your question and help plan your stay.
• Bookings: contact information, guest numbers, dates and other booking information are used to arrange and manage accommodation. Required fields and payment details are presented in the booking service.

Information is processed where needed to take steps at your request before a booking, fulfil your reservation, meet legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests such as answering enquiries and keeping the service secure. Where consent is required, it must be requested separately.

Providing enquiry information is voluntary, but without sufficient contact or booking details we may be unable to answer your enquiry or arrange your accommodation. Please avoid sending identity documents, card details or sensitive information by ordinary email.

3. Bookings and service providers

Check availability opens the official NightsBridge booking page. This website does not collect card details or process payments. NightsBridge, the accommodation operator and the payment services involved in your reservation process the information needed to provide their services.

The website is hosted on Vercel. Hosting, email, booking and payment providers may process information on systems outside South Africa. Where this happens, the operator must ensure that transfers meet the applicable requirements of POPIA, including appropriate protection for the information.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to handle a dispute. Privacy questions about an existing booking should first be sent to your hosts so the request can be directed to the appropriate service provider.

4. Cookies and external links

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not include a newsletter signup, guest account or contact form. Fonts and property photographs are served with the site. Maps and the booking engine are links, rather than embedded third-party services.

Opening a link to NightsBridge, Google Maps, Booking.com or another website takes you to that provider, whose own privacy and cookie notices apply. Your browser connects to those services only when you follow the relevant link.

5. Security and retention

Access to personal information should be limited to the people and service providers who need it to perform their work. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are required under POPIA. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Enquiry and reservation information should be retained only for as long as needed for its purpose, applicable legal record-keeping duties or the resolution of a dispute. Exact periods depend on the type of record. Contact us to ask about a specific record or request deletion; some information may need to be kept to meet a legal obligation.

6. Your rights and contact details

Subject to POPIA, you may ask whether information about you is held, request access or correction, request deletion where appropriate, object to certain processing or withdraw consent for processing that relies on it. A request may require proportionate identity verification. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
